Director of Team Resources
PLNK is looking for a Director of Team Resources Manager (DTR) that is passionate about the PLNK brand and has a deep knowledge and understanding of payroll systems and processes as well as regulations surrounding employee hiring and ongoing employment. The PLNK Director Team Resources will direct and manage all aspects of the PLNK payroll functions, including the collection, processing, and recording of payroll data. The position will ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local laws, regulations and ordinances governing human resources and compensation and will maintain, and/or create if necessary, all internal PLNK processes and policies accordingly.
Basically, you’re the go to for all things legal compliance around hiring and paying our PLNK teams!
Responsibilities:
Owning and maintaining the PLNK payroll software and systems
Serving as a liaison between PLNK and the payroll system to handle and coordinate any and all notices regarding contribution rates, wage filing issues, unemployment, etc.
Overseeing the end-to-end processing and running of all (bi-weekly as well as any off cycle) payrolls for all PLNK employees, contractors, and affiliates on time and, if necessary, promptly resolving any discrepancies
Tracking and paying all PLNK employee payroll liabilities, including social security, unemployment, worker’s compensation payments, reimbursements, expenditures, bonuses, etc.
Maintaining all payroll and employee data for Federal, State, local and internal reporting purposes
Manage and coordinate the accurate and timely filing of all payroll-related taxes and year-end reporting (i.e. W2s)
Develop and maintain all payroll and people-operations control processes
Ensuring all employee and contractor documentation is up to date and complete, including but not limited to, employment status, tax forms, employment eligibility verification forms, instructor and employee contracts, employee expectations, verifying receipt of PLNK handbook and policies, etc.
Auditing, updating and maintaining strict compliance with all Federal, State, and local tax and compensation laws and regulations, including but not limited to, employer contribution rates, minimum wage requirements, retirement and paid time off mandates and regulations
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll and administrative human resources (i.e. legal name changes) issues and inquiries, providing professional and clear communication
Works closely with members of the PLNK Admin team to ensure seamless data integration and alignment of processes and policies
Propose and implement process improvements and operational streamlining initiatives
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred
Direct experience in payroll administration and management
Proficiency in payroll software (preferably Paylocity but experience with Gusto, ADP and/or other providers is also acceptable), expense tracking software (i.e. QuickBooks), Google Suite (especially Google Sheets)
Strong knowledge of human resources, relevant employment laws, and of employer tax and contribution regulations
